An Effective Technique to Enhance the Quality Power by LOA With IUPQC
Abstract
In this paper, we present a method for addressing power quality issues caused by non-linear loads, such as distortion, swell, voltage sag, voltage variations, harmonic currents, and flickering. To address these issues, the proposed system uses Linear Optimal Allocation (LOA) and an Integrated Unified Power Quality Conditioner (IUPQC). In the IUPQC device, the LOA is used to maintain a constant DC-link voltage by compensating for voltage and current. MATLAB/Simulink is used to evaluate this method, and it is compared to the Bull Optimization Algorithm (BOA) and the Bat Algorithm (BA). In the proposed system, power quality issues can be effectively eliminated in both linear and non-linear distribution systems, regardless of whether the loads are linear or non-linear.
